Unfried Chicken So Good You'll Slap Ya Mama!
Easy "Unfried" Chicken
We all want to eat healthy, but we don't want to give up the delicious taste of fried chicken. Well, honey, have I got a recipe for you! This is the best recipe for the the easiest, tastiest, "Unfried" Chicken you'll ever taste. Although this recipe calls for chicken, you can use this breading on porkchops too. Ever since I made my first batch of this and shared it with my family at our Holiday meal, they have been the most requested item from friends and family. Ummm...
Ingredients
Several Pounds of Chicken parts (drumsticks, thighs, wings, or breasts)
Italian Bread Crumbs, 1 cup
Flour, 1 cup
garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon
italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon
black pepper, 1/8 teaspoon
Old Bay seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon
Crushed or Chopped Thyme, 1/4 teaspoon
Zattarains cayenne pepper, 1 pinch
Creole seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon
Cooking Spray
Preparation
- Rinse and soak chicken pieces in ice-cold water for about 20 minutes. (This is the key to the breading sticking to the chicken.)
- While chicken soaks, heat oven to 350 and make breading. To make, mix the bread crums, flour, and all seasonings together in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Coat cookie sheet or baking pan with 3 sprays of cooking spray.
- Take each piece of chicken and place in breading, shake, making sure chicken is fully coated. Place each piece onto cookie sheet or pan.
- Once you get all chicken coated and onto the pan, spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Place in oven uncovered and cook until juices come out clear, turning halfway through cooking time.
- Enjoy!
*If you make chicken wings, dash on some FRANK'S Red Hot Hot Sauce and serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing. It's better than any restaurant wings you'll ever taste!*

This recipe sounds great. My husband and I have been trying to cut down on fried foods and to learn what a serving size portion is. Thank you for the recipe and I will be trying it out.
